I am really sentimental about this shoot. Partially because it was my first official shoot back after having my first baby. Partially because it still holds some of my most favorite images of the 2024 school year. One of the images from the flower field was even voted to be the second favorite image of the year by my Instagram followers (see all of the favorite images of the year here). Kiley told me before her senior photos that she was a little nervous and not that photogenic. Five minutes into her session I knew that that just wasn’t true. Kiley’s energy is infectious. She is FUN. She is SPUNKY. You can’t be with her and not smile. She is a pommer, a great dancer, singer, daughter, auntie and so much more. She is going big and heading to Auburn University next year. I have no doubt that by the end of the first week of school she is going to have so many new friends.
Kiley’s senior photos started with a more casual look in an urban setting. We found a solid black brick wall to let her outfit pop. She didn’t want to dedicate one of her locations/outfits just to dance photos, but she wanted to incorporate her love for dance in this images still. We added some ‘easy’ dance moves in that she could easily do in this outfit. Take a look below to see her first location photos!
After this, we headed out to an open field for sunset. We found the most perfect white flowers for her to frolic in. She brought along her own bouquet of pink and white flowers that added to the softness and romance of these photos. I love the dress that Kiley chose to wear for this location. It was comfortable and made her feel good. It also had plenty of movement while allowing her to sit, walk, twirl and just move for a variety of poses. Neither of her outfits were limiting at all which made the possibilities for photos endless!
Kiley was such a joy to work with. She kicked off my 2024 school year of senior photos perfectly. I left her session full of JOY. If you would like me to take your senior photos, inquire here! 🙂
