Kelley had been dreaming of this wedding day for so long. She had her vision and it was immaculate. It was clear through every big and little detail. From her florals to who they chose to stand beside them to the vendors they trusted to execute the vision to the little ‘what is love’ notes from her students on their reception tables. The list goes on and on about how gorgeous this day was. The photos truly speak for themselves; take a look!

I love being my own boss. The freedom that it comes with is truly amazing. I love being able to hand design what I want my life to look like from day to day. But it hasn’t come without a LARGE share of learning curves and hiccups. Here are the top decisions I have made in my first years of business.

I am really sentimental about this shoot. Partially because it was my first official shoot back after having my first baby. Partially because it still holds some of my most favorite images of the 2024 school year. One of the images from the flower field was even voted to be the second favorite image of the year by my Instagram followers.

There are tons of different types of photography. There’s family photos, wedding photos, landscape photography, stock photography, couple photos, and (of course) senior photos. When I first started photography, I tried every single one of these types of photos. I took photos of anything and anyone that I could. I left no stone unturned. After a couple years of saying yes to everything I knew I needed to start settling more into one type of photography. Pretty quickly, I landed on senior photos.

These are two words that essentially mean the same thing but have been important principles of my business since the beginning. There are a LOT of reasons why I believe generosity is important and I have not come to the conclusion to give in the capacity I have lightly.

Every year in January, I put together 50+ of my favorite images from the year and then have my Instagram followers vote on which image is their favorite. Images are put head to head and everyday half of the photos are eliminated. It’s a traditional bracket style of voting. This is one of my FAVORITE […]

Amber and Gabriel Jacobs became the Jacobs family on September 30, 2023. As their day went on I couldn’t get over how elegant and sophisticated everything us. The deep reds with touches of greens and diamonds is incredibly regal. All black suits with some bow ties and the simplest deep red in the boutonniere was truly the cherry on top. This wedding day is one that I keep coming back to. I can’t stop reliving it.

I truly can not find the accurate words to explain this session. Lakyn’s senior photos were taken at the end of July. Prior to her session she sent me some images from Pinterest and my Instagram that stuck out to her. She wanted a semi-urban location, tall grass field and to get IN some water. […]

Adding personal elements through props, locations or even just an outfit makes everyone more comfortable. Wil and his mom did a great job keeping all of this in mind for his session! Determining what to wear for your senior pictures may be the hardest decision you make in regards to your pictures overall. Joy. There is NO better word to describe Taryn. This girl was giggling from the second we started her session, and I loved it.
