Kelley & Bowin. This was an incredible wedding day. It was the perfect weather for an October wedding hosted at Lakeview Weddings in Camp Point, IL. Kelley had been dreaming of this wedding day for so long. She had her vision and it was immaculate. It was clear through every big and little detail. From her florals to who they chose to stand beside them to the vendors they trusted to execute the vision to the little ‘what is love’ notes from her students on their reception tables. The list goes on and on about how gorgeous this day was. The photos truly speak for themselves; take a look!
After Kelley & Bowin were both dressed we completed a first look with Kelley & her bridesmaids & flowers girls (& ring bearer once his sister opened his eyes for him). Kelley has multiple nieces and nephew that mean so much to her. They were an incredibly important aspect of her day, so we made sure they were front and center as often as possible! After that we moved onto a first look with her dad. Kelley is the baby girl of her family. This day was a little extra sentimental for her family because of that.
Kelley & Bowin then decided to do a first touch while they read their vows before seeing each other at the ceremony. They wanted to wait to reveal their full looks until their ceremony but still have a private moment together prior to their guests arriving. This was the perfect mix. It is always amazing to me to see how much a bride & groom relax after getting to simply hold the hand of their partner and hear their voice on a wedding day. The nerves quite literally melt away for both of them. We get to then walk into the rest of their day with a renewed sense of peace and joy. This first touch, vow reading did just that for Kelley & Bowin. Because of the doors on the chapel and size of the space, these two could have their moment, sharing personal feelings for each other without me or any other vendors being too close to hear their every word. It was a true private moment for them.
After their first touch we were able to complete bridal portraits, bridesmaid photos, groom portraits and groomsmen photos all prior to the ceremony. This then gave us more time between the ceremony and reception for family portraits, bride and groom photos and a moment to breathe.
Kelley walking down the aisle was truly a breathtaking moment for everyone. But especially for Bowin.
These newspaper programs were a great touch! They gave the guests something to read while they waited for the ceremony to start and they were a cute photo prop. Lakeview Weddings new chapel is gorgeous. We started with photos here following their family portraits before going outdoors.
Lakeview Weddings is known for their large windowed building. Even with all of the incredible additions to the property in the last few years this backdrop is still stunning. Now it is just not the ONLY option for photos when you get married at Lakeview Weddings.
Before running into the reception we were able to complete sunset portraits in the front field at Lakeview Weddings. Depending on the time of year for your wedding will determine at what time we need to step outside for your sunset portraits!
Ending the day, Kelley & Bowin’s reception guests proved they knew how to make it a party. The dance floor was packed and everyone was ready to just have FUN! Every detail at this point in time had been completed perfectly. They were officially the Davissons!!! It was time to party.
I can’t thank Kelley & Bowin enough for inviting me to be a part of their wedding day. I loved all of the prep with Kelley and hearing about her vision. If you are interested in having me capture your wedding day, reach out to me here!
